What such people prefer to believe is what is comfortable for them. It keeps them safe, insulated from the truth, deluding them, lulling them into a false sense of security. In a way it is living in denial.
People, do yourself a favour. Distance yourself from yourself and the issue on hand, be objective, listen to yourself. Ask yourself few questions. There IS a problem, acknowledge it to yourself first. Why is it there, how did it happen, what was my part in it, do I want to make it alright, can I make it alright, what can I do to make it alright.
Take a nice long walk down the middle path and as you do, do not take along ego for companionship. It always takes you for a ride and the very purpose is diluted. Do not give way to defensiveness.
And finally there is nothing wrong in wanting to make things alright. It is the greatest feature of truth. It liberates you, makes you feel lighter and gives you something to hope for. It speaks volumes about your maturity and clarity of thought, not to mention your intention.
Sitting in darkness may make you look good but you aren’t visible to yourself. Do yourself a favour, walk towards the rising sun and fill yourself with light!
